Gary Williams
Disability Sector Leader
Gary is Ngati Porou and lives in Christchurch.
He works as consultant to the disability and NGO sectors including being in a governance role for a number of organisations.
Gary's particular interests are issues for disabled people and especially disabled Maori, leadership development and training, the rights of disabled people and effective organisational governance and management. Prior to moving to Christchurch, he’d been the CEO of DPA. He has extensive sector networks, both nationally and internationally, and networks within government agencies.
He thinks that the successful implementation of the Enabling Good Lives approach will benefit the whole of New Zealand.
