Kia ora koutou
We warmly invite disabled people and whanau to attend our final EGL hui, facilitated by SAMS and Tama. Please feel free to share this with those in your community.
What: this is the final in person hui focused on the process to establish and explore opportunities for community leadership. You can read more about the process of community leadership here.
Why: This hui is designed to help shape your EGL approach, giving choice and control to your community. This is particularly important considering Whaikaha’s decision to NOT fund this initiative past October 2024.You are welcome to attend, even if you have not joined us for our previous hui.
Where: Napier Sailing Club, 63 West Quay
When: 05 September 2024.10:00am to 2:00pm (light lunch will be provided).
Access needs: Please confirm all access needs asap. NOTE: Sign language interpreters will be at the hui.
Providers, please note: our priority is to ensure that disabled people, families, and whānau, as well as other community groups, understand the EGL approach and have say in community leadership. Providers could help their community by telling disabled people, families, and whānau, as well as other community groups about our hui.
With kindness,
Sarah and the SAMS team
